2013 Inaugural Ball

I had a really exciting opportunity to attend the Inaugural Ball with my friend, Andrew Lee, earlier this week. We went with the goal of documenting the ball from a different angle than is usually done - capturing the average, ordinary attendee (and there were a lot of them - 30,000!)

We met a lot of really interesting people who had come to celebrate from all over the country. Here are a few of the images, you can see more here.

Peter Rabbit Baby Shower

This has been a jam packed summer for me, all leading up to our big move across the country which happens next week! Some of the best parts of this summer have been the baby showers I have had the chance to help throw for some of my closest friends.

Beginning of June we threw a Peter Rabbit shower for one of my best friends, Tasha. Tasha and I met in the first grade and have been close ever since. We have done so much together and have lots of crazy memories.

The shower food was wonderful and included mini pot pies, a fabulous carrot cake, oreo truffle "cabbages", candy melt covered strawberry "carrots", and personal veggie cups. It was a wonderful time to sit and talk with friends, as well as showering our mommy-to-be with love.

Nancy's Bridal Shower

I was so excited when I was asked to photograph Nancy's bridal shower, held at the fabulous dessert restaurant, The Chocolate. As a tribute to Nancy's love of tea, the girls threw a gorgeous Spring morning tea party, complete with several delicious finger foods and treats and-of course-three different kinds of tea!

This summer my Morfar and Mormor (Mother's Father and Mother's Mother in Swedish) celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary, officially taking them out of the newlywed stage!

We threw a wonderful party to celebrate, and gave them an enormous album with pictures from their 50 years together. Affectionately known as the "Morfs" they are such an important part of our family, and I love them so much.
